1840s Barn Renovation: Timber Framing and Galvalume Roof

By September 1, 2024December 3rd, 2025Featured, News1 min read

"A Great Success Since Beginning"

Midstate Contractors completed a full post-and-beam and standing seam roof renovation at The Barn at Stratford. Structural failure over time had caused the roof and ridge members to sag and push out the exterior walls. Previous repair efforts were unsuccessful, leading to the complete replacement of all major timbers from bent girts to ridge beams. Engineered steel plates were also added to maintain historical integrity while meeting modern building codes.
