This project focused on restoring the damaged stone balusters along the main entrance staircase. We carefully removed the deteriorated pieces, cleaned the area, and installed new balusters to maintain the courthouse’s historic integrity.

Removed the old, damaged balusters and installed new ones.

Restoration Details

The Washington County Courthouse is located at 205 Putnam St. in Marietta, Ohio. This massive structure was built in 1902 and is made of rusticated stone and smooth blocks.

Along the stairs of the main entrance you will find a plethora of damaged stone balusters; that’s where we come in! We are working on site to remove the old damaged balusters and properly install new. The pictures below will show the progress of demo, cleaning and installation.
